# Using MeowDisplay media

## Permission
Journalists, reviewers and creators may reproduce the following, unmodified, in editorial coverage, reviews, tutorials and videos about MeowDisplay:
- original screenshots (Screenshots folder)
- B-roll (Video folder)
- the app icon and logo (Brand folder)
- descriptions and fact sheets (Information folder)

Please credit "MeowDisplay" and link to https://meowdisplay.app where the format allows.

Device mockups and promotional graphics that contain Apple product images are different. The iPhone frames belong to Apple. The developer uses them under Apple's App Store Marketing Artwork License, which is non-transferable and limited to marketing the MeowDisplay app on the App Store, so we cannot grant you any rights in Apple's artwork. These images are published to promote MeowDisplay and are meant to be shown unaltered in coverage of it. Do not extract, edit or reuse the device frames, and do not use these images for anything else. For hardware imagery in other contexts, use the unframed screenshots or obtain artwork from Apple yourself.

For any other use, email j@raisecaterror.com.

The GPL-3.0 licence covers MeowDisplay's source code. It does not apply to these media files.

## Name
Write "MeowDisplay": one word, capital M and capital D. Not "Meow Display", "Meowdisplay" or "MEOWDISPLAY". Feature names: Window view, Stage Peek, Mirror, Extend, Full Desktop, Text Bar, Zoom While Typing, Remote Access, Direct Touch, Natural Touch, Trackpad.

## Icon and logo
Use the supplied PNGs as they are. Do not redraw, recolour, crop, stretch or add effects. Leave clear space around the icon of at least a quarter of its width. Both files read well on light and dark backgrounds; on photographs, place them on a plain area. No vector source is published.

## Accuracy
- Do not alter app screens, add controls or show features MeowDisplay does not have.
- Describe Android as closed testing, not as released.
- Remote Access needs a private-network route such as Tailscale; do not describe it as a cloud service.

## Three kinds of media
1. Screenshots — captures of the released 2.0.0 apps on a physical iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPad (9th generation) and MacBook Air (M2). Two window-picker images are cropped and the display thumbnail in the two Stage Peek images is blurred, as noted in the asset notes.
2. Device mockups — iPhone screenshots composited into Apple's official iPhone 14 Pro Max frame. They are illustrations of the real interface, not photographs. There are no MacBook or iPad mockups: the Mac app is distributed outside the App Store, so Apple's marketing-artwork licence does not clearly cover a MacBook frame for it, and no rights-cleared iPad (9th generation) frame was available.
3. Promotional graphics — layouts combining iPhone mockups, unframed Mac app screenshots, the icon and short text.

## Third-party marks and artwork
Apple, iPhone, iPad, MacBook Air, Mac, macOS, Safari, TextEdit and Stage Manager are trademarks of Apple Inc. MeowDisplay is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple. The iPhone frames in the mockups and promotional graphics are Apple product images, used by the developer under Apple's App Store Marketing Artwork License and Apple's marketing guidelines for the App Store app. They remain Apple's property, and the raw frames are not distributed in this kit. No desktop wallpaper is reproduced: the display thumbnails in the two Stage Peek screenshots are blurred, and the iPad Mirror screenshot shows only thin slivers of the Mac desktop between windows. Web pages shown are meowdisplay.app. The quotation in the demonstration document is by Steve Jobs (Rolling Stone, 1994).
